Bonjour! My name is Tiffany Bacon, the multi-talented and creative pastry chef behind Sweet Bakes Couture. SBC is a small batch, boutique style dessert sweetery and intimate affairs catering service. SBC is my way of elevating your dessert experience into one of luxury!

From Southern style gourmet desserts and cupcakes to custom event cakes or dessert bars to private affairs, we provide it all. Our desserts use quality ingredients while still giving you a delicious, homemade taste. Working as a pastry chef and sous chef in both bakeries and various restaurants in the past, I have over 20 years of baking and kitchen experience!

I have also received awards for baking and entrepreneurship. Along with being selected to compete in dessert competitions such as 'Dessert Wars' (2x) and 'The Greatest Baker'.

Also a poet, I curate an open mic series entitled, The Pink Room Chronicles, consisting of 2 monthly events:
1. Poetry & Cupcakes - A poetry open mic where, a FREE cupcake comes with your ticket.
2. PoeTea & Pastries - A raffle open mic followed by an interview with 2 featured artists. Enjoy a FREE cup of tea with this ticket!

Here's a little more about how it all began...

As a child, you could often find me in the kitchen watching and helping my dad as he prepared & cooked various dishes, so I've always loved to cook. However, I didn't begin my baking journey until I was a college student while in Atlanta, GA. I even used to carry an orange & white basket around campus selling my desserts to other students, school staff members, and professors. That, led me to have the opportunity to have some products placed in local restaurants near the campus such as Mr. Everything's Café and Harold's Chicken (prior to a fire that forced them to close and later relocate).

After graduating, I took some cake decorating classes for fun. Upon completing those courses, I was introduced to a local baker turned mentor, Charlita Varner, who was about to open a bakery. I was able to help during that process and in January 2007, Buttersweet Bakery was opened in the Hapeville, GA area. Here is where I was able to hone in on my craft and improve my cake decorating skills. After 7 years, and due to a family emergency, I relocated back to my hometown, Philadelphia.

Baking is in my blood, as my grandfather "Benny" was also a local baker in the community as well as a baker and foreman at Hanscom Baking Co. Which was a popular bakery in Philly from the 60s-80s! Sadly, we never got the chance to bake together as he passed away when I was only 3, so I picked up where he left off!

Toasted Coconut Pie

Our Coconut Pie is made with a golden buttery crust and filled with a rich, gooey mixture of toasted coconut, sugar, and maple syrup. Topped with a sprinkle of powdered sugar and maraschino cherries. Add crushed pineapples to mix and give it an island feel! (+$5)

Key Lime Pie

Our key lime pie will not disappoint. Creamy filling, baked on a graham crust and topped with whipped cream, cookies crumble & fresh key lime slices. This pie is a perfect blend of sweet and tart! *Seasonal item*

Carrot Cake
